I’m usually the person in the room who names what nobody else will say. I ask the questions that shift the conversation, challenge the assumptions keeping you stuck, and tell you what I see, including your part in it. Then I get practical about what to do next.

People tend to tell me what they haven’t said out loud yet, so we get past the polite version of the problem fast. Then I diagnose what’s really going on and get to building. Now I bring all of me to coaching, facilitation, and practical solutions that help leaders and teams work differently. That means the strategist, the coach, and the part of me that believes how people feel at work isn’t a soft issue. It is the issue. (I also think HR, as it’s usually set up, is overdue for a rethink.
